![]() ![]() Ray Tracing looks cool but it's just for show at this stage or for systems boasting the RTX2080S/Ti so don't expect amazing performance once you turn it on. Ray Tracing is something I'm still on the fence about and for me with this teir card it's really not worth losing 10-20fps of performance, for example Quake II RTX high settings nets me around 45fps average. Temps are surprisingly cool too with a max of 65 Degrees in most games even some running 4K. This is exactly the spot that I wanted my system to be in when purchasing this GPU and the overclocking is really easy and effective with a suprising amount of room to boost it further than stock. Probably why Heaven crashes before Superposition. Running benchmarks in lower res for higher fps might show instability sooner. I personally like 3DMark Time Spy for clocks and Ethereum mining for VRAM. For me 4K runs as expected, 30-40fps on High settings in games such as GTAV, RDR2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Kingdomcome Deliverance but if you really spend time tweaking setting you can definitely pull 5-10 more frames out of your games. Obviously it would have to be a looped benchmark to keep the gpu stressed constantly. SuperPi is a benchmark designed to test single threaded CPU performance by calculating Pi up to a maximum of 32 million digits after the decimal point using the Gauss-Legendre algorithm. Test and compare the gaming performance of your PC with 3DMark, the number one benchmarking app for gamers, overclockers, and system builders. Higher results in the chart represent better power vs performance usage. The chart below compares CPU Power Performance (performance / Max TDP) using the TDP numbers gathered from various sources. At 1080p this Gigabyte RTX2060Super Gaming OC Triple Fan crushes games and is solid at 1440p on high settings too. Benchmarking also helps you make sure your current graphics card is running properly after months and years of use, and makes it easier to know whether or not you should upgrade. This chart comparing the power versus performance of CPUs is made using thousands of PerformanceTest benchmark results.
